What I DON'T like is the dynamic when femshep flirts back and pushes his boundaries. I even like how he flirts with femshep- it toes the line of propriety but it always feels fun and never threatening. His bravado and swagger are balanced by his moments of humility when he learns more about the big complicated galaxy around him. He feels lived in, like a real fucking person. Freddie Prinz Jr does a REALLY great job- I've heard that ppl are turned off by him as James' VA but I think he absolutely nailed it. At first I was like who tf is this jarhead there's no room for newbies on my ship. I did not expect to like James as much as I did. And even though she hates it, she’ll do it because Thedas needs her to. She has her own ideas for change, but not revolution. She specifically mentions that if people feel she should be the next divine then she won’t let them down. Not because she feels she would be better than anyone, and certainly not because she’s always wanted it. If Cassandra is pushed to be the divine, she simply accepts it.
With Allistair, you constantly have to convince him to be king, and it’s like pulling teeth. But what really sets her apart is she won’t flinch from her duty.

She’s full of flaws, vulnerabilities, and virtues (as is any good character). Once you get to know her, you realize that she’s actually a pretty damn good person and she simply misjudged you. When you first meet her, she’s headstrong, confident, and abrasive. But Cassandra is something altogether different. She goes from someone who is borderline evil, and selfish to the extreme, to a loving mother, caring partner, and even somewhat altruistic hero.
